Professional Background
Tom Watson joined MD Buyline in 1986, after 10 years in the clinical arena at West Jefferson Medical Center. Two of those years were spent as a staff technologist, with the remainder as administrative and technical director of cardiology, covering both invasive and noninvasive cardiology.
Tom has additional experience in exposure to critical care and intensive care monitoring as well as cardiac rehabilitation applications. In addition to his cardiac consultative responsibilities and the maintenance and development of the cardiology database information at MD Buyline, Tom provides cross-coverage to related areas of Radiology. His clinical experience and training include all diagnostic noninvasive cardiac modalities, and his invasive experience encompasses diagnostic cardiac catheterization, PTCA, and electrophysiology.
Education
Tom has a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University. He received registries in both noninvasive and invasive cardiovascular modalities through the National Society of Cardiopulmonary Technologies as well as adult echocardiography through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
