Professional Background
Dennis’ background includes more than 30 years in the Laboratory field. He has worked in various small and large hospital laboratories in Ohio, Florida, and Texas. Additionally he has worked in three major reference laboratories. Dennis has been a Laboratory preparator, Microbiology technologist, Laboratory supervisor, and a Laboratory manager. He has had oversight for Anatomical Pathology, Cytology, Microbiology, Immunology, Laboratory Information Systems, and Laboratory Compliance and Finance. Dennis also directed a Hospital Infection Control Program for eight years.
He has been with MD Buyline since 2000.
Education
After graduating from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology in 1978, he received a Master’s degree in Management/Health Systems Administration from the University of Akron in 1991.
Dennis is registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathology as a Specialist in Microbiology and a Diplomat in Laboratory Management. He has also held Certification in Infection Control by the Certification Board of Infection Control while managing Infection Control. He has been published in the ASCP magazine LabMedicine and Critical Values and presented topics at National Laboratory Conventions.
